The Duo put the PC Engine and its CD-ROM² drive in one white case, and the Duo-R was its 1993 revision. In Japan the PC Engine was a major platform; in America, sold as the TurboGrafx-16, it stayed a cult machine.

Two mods make it the one PC Engine the room needs. A region mod lets it run American TurboGrafx HuCards, which are wired differently from Japanese ones, and an RGB mod brings out a picture the stock console only offers as composite.

A spare laser pickup for the Duo family sits on the shelf for the day the drive needs it.
