The LMD Wall
Mission control. Four LMD models, nine units, one job: keep every signal honest before it reaches the tubes.
Behind the tubes stands mission control. Four LMD models, nine units, one job: keep every signal honest before it touches the glass that matters. Five 9030s form the wall, two 9050s extend it into HD, a 9020 holds the analog corner, and a lone 940W speaks every modern format down to HDMI.
Flip the wall on and the appeal is immediate — identical faces lighting in sequence, one instrument with nine eyes. The 8.4-inch family shares a chassis, a menu system and a single manual, so the whole array behaves like one machine with three signal grades. Run all of it at once and it still draws less power than the flagship CRT does alone.
The 940W is the future-proofing move: ChromaTRU color in 10-bit, one BNC that auto-detects everything from SD through 3G, HDMI for anything made this decade, waveform and audio meters built in, and a tally lamp up top — a broadcast truck condensed into four and a half pounds. In a collection built around glass, this is the crew that keeps the show running.
Nine screens, one job: keep the signal honest before it reaches a tube.

Work log
What has been done to it since it arrived.
- LMD-9050 stands fitted — The two HD-SDI units on their desk stands rather than rack ears.
- Distribution amp behind the wall — A CE Labs AV901-HD feeds every unit the same frame at the same instant — the whole path is in The Signal Chain.
